What it means

The records of one job (its desired state, its run, its status and what its node reported) do not agree: a run with no job, a status that has ended and carries no ending, an ending that does not match its state. The API writes them together and validates what it writes, so something else wrote one of the keys, or the store was edited by hand.

The cause line names the job and the keys. The job controller changes nothing for that job until it is fixed.

Never fix it by deleting the job's run (/job-runs/NAME) or its status (/job-status/NAME) alone. A job that lost its run could be started a second time, and its ending lost; the controller refuses to create a run for a job that had one, and changes nothing. Restore the missing or damaged record, or, to remove the whole job, delete all of its keys in one transaction: /jobs/NAME, /job-input/NAME, /job-runs/NAME, /job-status/NAME and /job-observed/NODE/NAME.
