What it means

A state volume is bound into the container before its command starts: its data directory is made by the container's root, bound in the container's /dev, then moved onto its path once the container's root is entered, so that the path is read as the container reads it. One of those steps failed; the cause names it and what the kernel said.

With --read-only the path must already exist in the image: nothing can be made in a read-only root. zbx doctor shows what this host allows.
